Decorations

Here are some of the decorations I made myself this year (2001)
I was very pleased with how they looked.
While not all of them are natural, I did my best to use the natural
pine everywhere I could (except the tree)

Nothing natural here but I liked this arrangement.
I did wish however that the tree in the center
had been a little larger.

Here you see the wreath my mom made for me a few years ago.
I keep it up year round, and I have hung a mirror behind it.
It really brightens the hall.
below it is an arrangement I made with natural pine.
The kids made the little paper angels you see on either side of it.

This is a natural wall hanging I made with some long needle pine.

Here is the wreath I put together, originally intended for my door.
When I got it finished and tried to hang it,
it became painfully clear it was not going to fit between the doors as
I had wanted.
But, as it turned out, I loved it hung over the couch in this arrangement.

Here you see the Santa Claus head I made from a half of a bleach bottle.
I was surprised at how simple it was to make!
Hung by itself in this place, was just too lonely, so I added the garland
as I did in the living room.
Below Santa, on the buffet, is a natural arrangement I put together.

Who says Christmas dinner has to be a huge amount of work.
I decided this year (since we had to be packing to make our trip to MO.)
that I would keep it simple. I chose to make the traditional scalloped potatoes,
and an apple salad. The rest was deli stuffs...
meats, dips, veggie tray, cheeses etc.
Turned out to be one of the most stress free Christmas dinners I have had
(THE most stress free that I have made myself!!)
